I have been doing accounting for over 15 years, now. I have worked in the shipping industry, manufacturing, and reselling over the course of my career. It all began when I was hired to do the bookkeeping for a real estate company in Key West, Florida. But the yearning to be around home and family soon brought me back to Minnesota. By then, numbers had become an integral part of my career path and I eventually earned a BS in Accounting and Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
One day, a friend of mine that does income taxes, came to me with questions about the financial statements of one of his clients. One thing led to another and his client, impressed with my analysis of their books, hired me to takeover their accounting functions. Soon after, I added a second client to my list - and my tiny little side-business was growing!
One of my clients is based in Washington state, and I soon realized that with the power of technology today, I'm not limited to serving small businesses in the Twin Cities area, but I can help businesses accross the nation. So I created this web site to expand on that opportunity.
I am a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor and a member of Intuit's Accounting Professional Research Panel, which aims to improve Quickbooks products in an ever changing business world.
On a personal note, I love the movies (especially classic Hollywood), and I enjoy reading when I have the time. My dog, Max, is my surrogate child. I think balls are a permanent attachment to his mouth. He's always carrying one around!
